I bought a 1/4 size set for my daughter's violin to tie it over till she switched over to 1/2 size violin. I was not very cheap, about $16. I should have just bought zyex or even some cheap steel strings.

Since it was 1/4 size, I didn't notice too much difference. any way, the E strings broke within a week. I had to put my daughter's old dominant string back. I forgot that it came with an extra E string. Any way, later I put the extra E string on, the ball came off.

I would not buy this brand again.
