Spirit! strings are marketed as a set for "amateur" players, but they have enough richness to easily pass as a professional string.  These strings add warmth to a bright violin without the risk of being too dull.  The tension is higher than other "warm" string sets tend to be, but that can be a big plus for beginning and advancing students who often need a faster responding string.  If you like a more dark sound but are not ready to throw $100+ to test a new set of gut strings, Spirit! is definitely worth a look!

I really like this product by Thomastik.
my instrument doesn't like focused sounding strings but with Spirits you can definitely hear Harmonics.
it's a warm and rich set of strings but different than Infeld Red.if you used and liked Vision Solo but you wished for a less focused sounds full of Harmonics you should give a try to Spirit.for a fairly comparison i will put the in front of Alphayue and Dominant.but Spirits are definitely more responsive than Alphayue and just a little bit darker than Dominant.i don't categorize Spirit as amateur string but it's a good experience for practicing.the only problem is Spirit's life time.compared to other synthetic sets by Thomastik Infeld, Spirit isn't one of those last longers.(after 1.5-2 months of daily practice you have to say goodbye to them.

As the first week has passed, I think the Thomastik-Infeld Spirit! Strings have settled in. The first day os strung my violin, I had notices how short the strings were, I thought that I had gotten a 3/4 or smaller size strings. But as I strung them on the stretching process began. I got my tuner and began to tune. Once all strings were on my violin, I thought to myself maybe they aren't that short. All string were stable except for the "A" string, I think the combination of my pegs and the string were making this a problem. Yet, persitently tried to tune it. At this point other strings were getting out of tune. Amazingly I managed to get them all in tune and was ready to play a piece that I would use to test the "warmth" of the string: Opus 50 Beethoven Romance no. 2. While I understood that the strings didn't settle in they sounded very metalic like the Dominants.
A week has past, and while they are stretching I was hearing the quantities I have stated above. Warm, Rich, and Neutral-ish (More on the quiet side) . We were rehearsing for a concert coming up, and while first chair, My teacher said to play louder! Usually the old strings that I had (Dominant Knock offs) would project to the louder side, and that would do the job just with neutral bow presure. But with all this I find this string to be good in very emotional pieces or movements. With a high response time this could warmup a bright violin but wouldn't hurt to put it on a dark violin.

This is the first time in a while that I have found a set of strings that I can use without mixing up strings from different sets. These strings have a warm but projecting tone. When these strings are put on they will sound metallic for a few days. These strings break stop stretching after a couple hours. there's no real answer yet from me. These strings have great dynamics as well.

G-Warm and Strong
D-Warm but projecting
A-Sweet and projecting
E-Just amazing, it sings in high registers

I would definitely recommend these strings to anyone. If you like dominants, you should give these a try as well.
