A string similar to the Dominants under the fingers. Yet, a little more focused, bright and rich/resonating. Could be one of the best solutions for someone wanting good projection, brilliant and rich tone, at a lower tension (and of course less volume) than a string like Pirazzi.
Edit (2/14/15):
Just returning to amend my last review of these strings.
Well, to be honest, I was at first happy but I am now amazed. I have used the very same set of strings maybe "overused" it, and done something that shouldn't be done often, or even at all. But it was educating I guess. I used the same set in series of different violins and I was struck with the consistency of these strings, and I mean that in terms of the quality of the produced sound.
There have been some months of such experiments, constant playing-ins and then used to strung an other instrument, etc, and a whole month of 3-4 hours playing in another violin before these "experiments" Now, I have cleaned them and mounted them on my main instrument, and they seem to have a really lot of colour and life remaining. After all these, they have turned slowly a little warmer and more round, the power and projection/power are still remarkable though (at such a low tension) , and without chocking any of the instruments
Comparisons to other well known strings:
I would describe them as a more delicate Evah Pirazzi, or a more vibrant and vivid Obligato (in the violins used their response was a little faster than Obligatos). For the Thomastik -Infeld fans, they would still be fuller and at the same time more focused (and considerably louder) than Dominants...Yet give them a few days before you judge them.
Another fact is that they respond really well to different bowing styles, and they can be at the same time really mellow or extremely icy if you "ask" them too...Not every string responds to this, with the same amount of effort...
Pairing them with a Pirastro Gold Label plain E, was a good choice as well. The E string of the set, is great too, but I think that the rest of the set definately can outlive the E string...
So, 5 stars from me...and this could be my main go-to string from now on...

These strings are warmer than the normal vision strings, meant to play in orchestras hence the name. Short break in time. Would recommend these to anyone playing in ensembles, orchestras, or if they have a slightly bright violin.
